HAND CUT COIN NECKLACES

These necklaces are often one of a kind.  To make these unique pieces, I partnered with artist David Couts.  David is an avid coin collector.  He proudly served his country in Vietnam.  With unmatched precision he hand cut these coins.  Using a jeweler saw he cut the coin so that the image on the coin nearly comes to life.  He also cut coins into shapes that aren’t represented on the coin.  These pieces are fun and have the durability of a metal coin.  I call them Free Cuts.  Once David cut them and plated them, I made them into wearable art pieces.
